Josh Tongue is an English fast bowler who rose through Worcestershire before breaking into the England setup along with a move to Notts — he’s often mentioned among local sports followers as one of the region’s most promising athletes of recent years. Born in Redditch in 1997, Tongue is known for his lively pace, natural bounce, and the ability to move the ball both ways off the seam.

After several strong seasons in county cricket, he made his Test debut for England in 2023 against Ireland at Lord’s, where he took a five-wicket haul in the second innings — an impressive start that underlined his temperament and control under pressure.
