Tendayi Darikwa

He's only played a handful of games so far but Tendayi Darikwa has proven the adage that 'there's no place like home' to certainly have some truth in it. He might have benefited initially from the absence of reigning player of the season Eric Lichaj on International duty but his performances so far have not only made him a fan favourite but also one of the first names on Warb's team sheet. He has already shown his skill going forward and his pace covering at the back are perfectly suited to the new style of play the team are being asked to deliver. No doubt, over time, Lichaj will claw his way back into contention and it might be they both end up on the right touchline as many fans are already hoping, but it's not going to be easy to shift Darikwa who looks very much at home at The City Ground.
