Tyler Walker
It's never easy being the son of a club legend and Tyler Walker has had huge boots to fill. Every manager has seen his own potential in addition to his undoubted pedigree and he made a huge impact when he first broke into the first team. However it seemed as if he lost all his confidence and his career had hit a brick wall. Few fans had him in their thoughts when thinking about the prospects for this season but apparently he's been showing something in training that has meant he wasn't one of the first out on loan as many had expected. Not only that in addition to a few positive glimpses in preseason his first full taste of real action not only resulted in him scoring the all important late winning goal at St. James' Park but also was preceded but a significant impact off the bench that goes a long way to suggest that we have the player we first saw back again - and maybe he has the big future many thought was ahead of him after all. Including Des who thinks he's a much better player than he ever was. If he is half the player he will have done very well, which now looks a distinct possibility once again.
