Superb quality print - the first of our '40 Years On' project - commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the remarkable European Cup Winning Forest Teams and successes that followed during those golden years.
This goal was equally important as unexpected - a sweet strike created by Birtles and Woodcock and finished by the left back whose inspired run the length of the pitch and against all reason resulted in him arriving on the scene with perfect timing to sweetly strike the ball into the back of the Scouser's net and make the second leg at Anfield just that bit more 'interesting'. Colin Barrett's goal secured his status as a club legend and was vital in securing a huge victory for Forest over the reigning champions who they went on to replace not once but twice.
