Bryan Robson is an English former professional footballer, widely regarded as one of England’s greatest midfielders. Born on January 11, 1957, in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, he played as a midfielder, known for his leadership, tenacity, and goal-scoring ability. He is most famous for his 13-year career at Manchester United (1981–1994), where he captained the team for 12 years, earning the nickname “Captain Marvel.” Robson won three FA Cups, two Premier League titles, a League Cup, and a European Cup Winners’ Cup with United, making 461 appearances and scoring 99 goals.
He also played for West Bromwich Albion (1974–1981) and Middlesbrough (1994–1997), and earned 90 caps for England, scoring 26 goals, including captaining the national team in three World Cups (1982, 1986, 1990). After retiring, he managed Middlesbrough (1994–2001), Bradford City, West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United, and the Thailand national team. He was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
