Ian Storey-Moore is an English former association football forward, most notably known for his time with Nottingham Forest and Manchester United. Here's a brief overview of his career:

- Early Career: Born on January 17, 1945, in Ipswich, England, Storey-Moore started his football career at Scunthorpe United before moving to Nottingham Forest in 1961. His flair and goal-scoring ability made him a fan favorite at Forest.

- Nottingham Forest: He played for Forest from 1962 to 1972, amassing over 100 league goals in 236 appearances. He was part of the team that finished runners-up in the Football League in the 1966-67 season. Storey-Moore is also remembered for scoring what many consider to be one of the best goals ever at the City Ground against Arsenal in 1971.

- International Career: He earned one cap for England, playing against the Netherlands in a friendly match in 1970.

- Manchester United: In 1972, Storey-Moore transferred to Manchester United. However, his time there was cut short due to a severe injury in 1974, which effectively ended his top-flight career.

- Post-Injury: After leaving Manchester United, he played for non-league Burton Albion and briefly for the North American Soccer League side Chicago Sting. He also took on managerial roles, serving as player-manager at Shepshed Charterhouse and later at Burton Albion.

- Later Life: After retiring from playing, Storey-Moore worked as a chief scout for several clubs, including Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa. He has also been involved in community football and remains a beloved figure among Forest fans, even becoming the club's first-ever ambassador for Carlton Town FC in 2024.

- Legacy: Known for his skillful play, particularly his dribbling and finishing, Storey-Moore is often ranked among the best players in Nottingham Forest's history, despite not being part of their European Cup-winning teams in the late 1970s. His career was unfortunately shortened by injuries, but his contributions to the clubs he played for and his impact on English football are well-remembered.
